Description
A sash window of the Grade I listed 17th Century miller's cottage attached to Flatford Mill on the river Stour at Flatford in Dedham Vale, Suffolk. The mill belonged to the painter John Constable's father. In 1920 it was restored and renamed Willy Lott's House, a name Constable used in his paintings. The mill and its surroundings were an inspiration for many of his paintings. It is now owned by the English Heritage and National Trust.
