Description
The C at the port of Ouchy in Lausanne is a metal wind vane called Éole and created in 1995 by Clelia Buttua. This monumental, yet delicate, semi circle, 20 metres in diameter, is a wind direction indicator located on a breakwater at the entrance to the Port d'Ouchy. If paired with the 4 monoliths placed on the embankment, and when forming a perfect circle with the top part of one of them, it allows the viewer to know the force of the wind.
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland.
