The boathouse, built around 1840, is a timber framed structure with a plain tiled roof and a landing inside. It is situated in the picturesque grounds of the 14th century, moated Scotney Castle in Lamberhurst, Kent, England.
It is part of the National Trust, a charity and membership organisation for heritage conservation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The National Trust for Scotland is independent.
